It was just the second day, but it like lifetime of friendship

The team at Spain have been so warm and welcoming. It feels like we have been friends for a lifetime.
Today was which took the delight of food and friendship to a new level.
We had this wonderful lunch at the restaurant called Orgaz! And for dinner we went to a famous Michelin recommended restaurant Filandon. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. Learnt about the local cuisine and several dishes I had never known before.

The mouth watering cuisine

  1. Totilla : Spanish totilla is a traditional Spanish dish made with eggs, potatoes, and onions. It is similar to an omelette but thicker and often served as a tapa or main course. It is not the typical Mexical tortilla made of corn or flour.

More food and delight

  2. Merre and Monk Fish grilled and marinated with olive oil and garlic : Merre and monkfish are two types of fish commonly used in Spanish cuisine. They are often grilled and marinated with olive oil, garlic, and herbs to enhance their flavor. The fish is typically served with a side of vegetables or rice.
  3. Apple pie with ice cream : Apple pie with ice cream is a classic dessert that combines a warm, spiced apple filling encased in a flaky pastry crust, served with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. It is a popular dessert in many cultures and is often enjoyed during special occasions or as a comforting treat.
  4. Cheeze cake : Cheesecake is a rich, creamy dessert made with cream cheese, sugar, and eggs, typically baked in a graham cracker crust. It can be flavored with various ingredients such as fruit, chocolate, or vanilla, and is often served chilled. Cheesecake is a popular dessert in many cultures and is known for its smooth texture and sweet taste.
  5. Chocolate lava cake
  6. Mango ice cream

Acueducto de Segovia

It was a great ride to the restaurants, talking to the team and sharing stories. Came to know about the Aquaduct, which are ancient structures built to transport water from one place to another. They are often made of stone or brick and can be quite impressive in size and design. During the ancient times these were used to utilize gravity to let the water flow using slope, having the structures produce differential heights to let the water flow from one place to another. The differential heights will not be visible due to huge height of the structures.

Great roads and network of subways and freeways

The ride to the restaurants was smooth and fast. The city is interconnected with not only a rich network of metro and subways, but also huge freeways crisscrossing the city. It was a delight seeing great architecture of medieval Spain so well maintained and preserved in the city centers. Great architecture and a delightful visual treat.
