| 1 | Truth Beauty & Goodness |
In this poem, I explore the importance of work, effort and penance to create expressions of Truth, Beauty and Goodness as the ultimate purpose of life, in all vocation, action and endeavors. And that this eternal engagement is made possible through the agency of love. It is love that makes life worth living. And all that is true, all that is beautiful, and all that is good, is made possible only through this extreme hard labor and shedding of sweat and enduring of blood of the labor of love. And yes, irrespective of the outcome, the process of engaging in this labor of love is itself the ultimate reward and fulfillment of life. For it is a beauty in making. There is no ultimate destination. As it is unbounded, endless and eternal! Where will it reach ultimately, who knows! People come and go. Events come and go. Seasons change. Heart breaks and then expands. Lights seeps in through the cracks. Darkness is replaced by light. And the light grows and grows in shades never known. In this ever changing nature of the physical life, what endures is the effort and the agency of love - thrusting that never ending stances of re-incarnation tirelessly laboring for Truth, Beauty and Goodness. And That Endures. Forever and Ever!
